Day 1. Dracula Castle and Transylvania Biking

This tour starts at 8.00 am with private pick-up from your hotel.

In the morning we will start our journey towards the Bucegi Mountains and Prahova Valley. Those represent one of the most attractive mountain regions in Romania.

Once we enter the mountains we will visit a marking monument in the romanian landscape. The Bran Castle is mostly known as the Dracula Castle. It is today the most visited sight in Romania. We will take here the time to unravel all its mysteries and learn about its history.

Next we will enjoy our first biking tour in the area around Bran. We will step onto our bikes and start a 3 to 4 hours tour in this beautiful hills area. During the tour, we will take a picnic break in a relaxing village setting. This is one of our favorite Transylvania Biking rails.

After all of this, we will arrive in one of Romania’s most beautiful cities. Brasov lies right at the feet of the mountains, and offers spectacular views.  The city was built by saxons and was remarkably preserved throughout time. It houses now Romania’s biggest gothic church, named The Black Church after a major fire.

We will end the day in the village Bunesti. Accommodation follows here.

Day 2. Sighisoara and Biking in the Woods

In the morning after breakfast we will start off with a refreshing biking tour in the Woods near Bunesti village. This is a very relaxing and enjoyable 3-4 hours biking tour.

After this we will drive to Sighisoara citadel. This is Romania’s last still inhabited medieval citadel. You will love its vivid colors and natural beauty. We will visit here the Old Town and Church on the Hill.

Now it’s time to drive back to Bucharest and say goodbye to Transylvania. It has been a wonderful couple of days!
