Alina not only spoke perfect English, she tailor-made the tour to our tastes and needs, and explained everything is copious detail. She is a delightful young woman with a great future in the tourist industry of Bucharest. It was a pleasure to make her acquaintance. I wish there were more guides like her.

A Fantastical Step Back in Time
From start to finish this tour was awesome. We went on the full day tour to Peles, Bran & Brasov from Bucharest. Our guide Alina was knowledgeable with not only historical but practical information (such as the best places for traditional Romanian cuisine & best camera shots). Both Alina & Gabriel were flexible when it came to various stops along the way. This tour is a must if you’ve only got a spare day in Romania!

Great tour
I booked a 03 hour tour in Bucharest and it was very good! Our guide (Alina) took us to the most important place and explained everything about all of them! Unfortunately we have only one day in Bucharest so we couldn’t do everything she suggested but we will come back to this beautiful city!

Experiencing the Wonders of Transylvania
I just recently spend a few days in Bucharest, and being so close to Transylvania I wanted to see the region. I found Authentic Romania Tours, and they took great care of us. They pick you up in a private van at your hotel. Alina the owner was our guide and she was very informative and knowledgeable on the region. We went to the city of Sinaia first and visited the Sinaia Casino and the monetary. Afterwards we went to see Peles Castle which was absolutely marvelous. It was closed on Monday so we didn’t get to go inside, but that was ok with us. Next, we went to the town of Brasov which was very picturesque. We had lunch in the town and had some free time to wonder around. Our last stop was Bran Castle which was spectacular. Some of the best souvenir shopping is just outside the castle.
We had a fabulous time in Transylvania, our only regret was that we didn’t spend two days there. Authentic Romania was fabulous and I would definitely use them again for other tours in the area when we go back to Romania.

I thoroughly enjoyed the bus tour I did, which had a stop at the parliament building. It was highly informative and interesting and I would recommend it to learn more about the history that influenced Romania’s past and present society!

Wine Tasting Tour from Bucharest Small Group
A group of friends and I recently took the full day wine tour. It was a highlight of our time in Romania.
I appreciate the small group size so that the tour really feels personalized.
I also like that the tours takes place outside of the city- you visit small villages. It was nice to see how people live in the small villages. The driver was also really great about stopping for us to take photos.
The first stop was at a wine museum which was really interesting and the property contained some interesting antiques which helped explain the history of the region.
Next we tasted two vineyards and tried more wines than I remember! We tasted wines straight from the barrels at different points in the aging process and then we had wine tastings.
The first vineyard (my favorite) had small snacks for us to go along w/the wine. The second vineyard prepared a traditional lunch for us.
If you’re considering booking a wine trip I highly suggest using this company.

This tour is a crash course in the history of Communism in Romania! The highlight of the tour is the Palace of the Parliament. To say this building is impressive is an understatement; there are over 1,000 rooms and a yearly utility bill of 8-12 million EU. The building also holds world records for the largest chandelier and carpet! While the interior is beyond words, the history being presented by a guide who experienced Communism is priceless. I recommend this tour, remember to bring your passport for entry.

Fabulous Tour!
I did the all day wine tour and it was brilliant! The guide Alina and the driver were both knowledgeable and so friendly. The wines were superb and so reasonably priced. They even accommodated us for unscheduled photos stops! Great quality and value.

We took a communism tour that included the visit to the Palace of Parliament with Authentic Romania. Everything was perfectly organised, we learned a lot about Romania’s communist past, and saw all the main communist-era highlights all over Bucharest.
Alina took us to the Senate side of Parliament, where we were the only little group visiting at that time. It was such an amazing experience to be there and hear all the incredible facts about this grand building.
Would have never been able to see and learn so much without this tour.

Transylvania and Dracula Castle Full-Day Tour
Very interesting and enjoyable tour, if you want to spend one day discovering this region and learnig about the history/culture of the country this is exactly what you are looking for. Not much effort to make, Alina came to pick us up directly at our hotel and from that you only have to relax and enjoy until she brings you back directly to your hotel at the end of the tour. In addition the staff was very nice and super helpful. I highly recommend it!

Wine Tasting Tour from Bucharest Small Group
We had a great day visiting the two wineries in the Prahova valley despite the weather! Alina was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed touring around the Lacerta winery and got to see how the wine is made first hand in a very modern way. We tasted some very good wines and you guide at Lacreta was really helpful. Lunch at Urlateanu Manor was delicious and we experienced some good traditional Romanian dishes as well as taste some excellent wines during the meal. Thank you Auhero Travel for a great day!

A lesson in in Romania’s past
We did Communist tour during our time in Bucharest and it was brilliant. The highlight was visiting the imposing Palace of the Parliament, a relic from Ceaucescu’s tumultuous reign. It really gave us an understanding of why Bucharest is as it is today. Other highlights included Revolution square. Our guide was wonderful, attentive and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!
