Transylvania & Dracula Castle Tour

Unravel the mystery behind Dracula’s Legend! Come on our one day Transylvania and Dracula Castle Tour  and visit the most wanted castle in Romania: the Dracula Castle or also known as Bran Castle.  Experience Transylvania and witness the marvelous Carpathians on the Best Seller Day Tour from Bucharest.

  •  famous Dracula Castle in Bran, Transylvania
  •  Peles Royal Castle in Sinaia, one of the most beautiful castles in Romania
  •  Brasov medieval city in Transylvania

The tour starts at 8.00 a.m. with pick-up from University Square in the center of Bucharest city, GPS location Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta 3, București 030167

First thing in the morning we will journey towards the Bucegi Mountains and Prahova Valley. This is one of the most attractive mountain regions in Romania and fairly close to Bucharest city.

Step 1 – Peles castle

We will drive about 2 hours to reach the mountain city of Sinaia. Here we will visit the marvelous Peles Castle. This is probably the most beautiful castle in Romania, built in an enchanting bavarian style by our first King Carol I.  We will visit here the interiors of the castle (about one hour) and the splendid gardens around the castle. Great view upon the mountain tops is guaranteed!

Step 2 – Dracula Castle

Next we move on towards another marking monument in Romania. The Bran Castle is mostly known as the Dracula Castle thanks to the Dracula Vampire legends… You will learn everything about this story from our professional tour guides.

It will take us about 40 minutes driving from Peles Castle to the Dracula castle. The entire road goes through beautiful mountain landscapes as we will be crossing the Southern Carpathians. We will visit Dracula castle inside ( about one hour) and have some time at the gift shops around the castle.

Step 3 – Brasov city

After we’ve seen these important landmarks, we will arrive in one of Romania’s most beautiful towns. This town lies right at the feet of the mountains: Brasov was once a mighty stronghold protecting the border against invasions. The city was built by saxons and was remarkably preserved throughout time, housing now Romania’s biggest gothic church, named The Black Church. After a guided tour in the city center we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch break in the old town. You can stroll on the charming streets, get some lunch or even visit some local museums in your free time in this city.

Now that we’ve seen and learnt so much, the ride back home will be the best opportunity to meditate, debate and discuss about our trip.

We can’t wait to hear your opinion!

We will be back in Bucharest in the evening, around 20:00 p.m.

A great tour and well-driven. Alina was highly informative, enthusiastic, a true professional. The day was to a good plan, good value, a very relaxing way to see the interior too, and we also had an enjoyable chat about Romanian life past & present. The programmes we viewed on the last leg of the journey gave a lovely context to the Carpathians also. Memorable ! I know I shall return to Romania and/or the region with others, in which case shall be in touch. I’d recommend anyone to do the same !

Transylvania and Dracula Castle Full-Day Tour
Very interesting and enjoyable tour, if you want to spend one day discovering this region and learnig about the history/culture of the country this is exactly what you are looking for. Not much effort to make, Alina came to pick us up directly at our hotel and from that you only have to relax and enjoy until she brings you back directly to your hotel at the end of the tour. In addition the staff was very nice and super helpful. I highly recommend it!

Experiencing the Wonders of Transylvania
I just recently spend a few days in Bucharest, and being so close to Transylvania I wanted to see the region. I found Authentic Romania Tours, and they took great care of us. They pick you up in a private van at your hotel. Alina the owner was our guide and she was very informative and knowledgeable on the region. We went to the city of Sinaia first and visited the Sinaia Casino and the monetary. Afterwards we went to see Peles Castle which was absolutely marvelous. It was closed on Monday so we didn’t get to go inside, but that was ok with us. Next, we went to the town of Brasov which was very picturesque. We had lunch in the town and had some free time to wonder around. Our last stop was Bran Castle which was spectacular. Some of the best souvenir shopping is just outside the castle.
We had a fabulous time in Transylvania, our only regret was that we didn’t spend two days there. Authentic Romania was fabulous and I would definitely use them again for other tours in the area when we go back to Romania.

A Fantastical Step Back in Time
From start to finish this tour was awesome. We went on the full day tour to Peles, Bran & Brasov from Bucharest. Our guide Alina was knowledgeable with not only historical but practical information (such as the best places for traditional Romanian cuisine & best camera shots). Both Alina & Gabriel were flexible when it came to various stops along the way. This tour is a must if you’ve only got a spare day in Romania!
