Day 1: Bucharest, Romania

Begin your Balkan adventure in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. Spend the day exploring its historical landmarks and impressive architecture, including the Palace of the Parliament, the second largest administrative building in the world. Stroll through the charming Old Town, visit the stunning Romanian Athenaeum, and enjoy free time in the city.

Day 2: Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria

From Bucharest, drive south to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. This charming town was once the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire and is home to the Tsarevets Fortress, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of the old town and enjoy the local stores.

Continue your journey to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Explore its numerous museums, churches, and parks, including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the National Museum of History, and the Vitosha Mountain National Park.

Day 3: Skopje, North Macedonia

Drive south towards Skopje, the capital city of North Macedonia. Take a walk along the Vardar River and admire the impressive Stone Bridge, visit the Old Bazaar and the Mother Teresa Memorial House. Free time for shopping in the bazar

Arrive in Ohrid, North Macedonia From Skopje, drive to the stunning lakeside town of Ohrid. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its beautiful churches, historic landmarks, and crystal-clear lake. Visit the Church of St. John at Kaneo, the Ancient Theatre, and the Samuil’s Fortress.

Day 4: Tirana, Albania

Head west to Tirana, the capital city of Albania. Explore its vibrant streets, full of colorful buildings, art installations, and lively cafes. Visit the Skanderbeg Square, the National Museum of History, and the Et’hem Bey Mosque. Free time to enjoy the city

In the afternoon we arrive in Durres by the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy this marvelous place with beautiful golden beaches and sparkling sea. Accommodation in Durres.

 

Day 5: Dubrovnik, Croatia

In the morning visit the Kruja Fortress, one of the most impressive in Albania and the the National Museum “George Castroti Skanderbeg“,  Albanian Nationa Hero!

Arrive in Montenegro in the beautiful town of Budva and spend the rest of the day here. Accommodation in Budva

 

Day 6: Kotor, Montenegro

Head towards the charming town of Kotor in Montenegro. Nestled in a breathtaking bay surrounded by mountains, Kotor’s medieval old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a stroll through its winding streets and visit landmarks such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon and the Kotor Fortress.

Drive north to Dubrovnik, Croatia, known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Walk along the stunning city walls and enjoy the panoramic views of the sea and the Old Town. Visit the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Rector’s Palace, and the Franciscan Monastery.

Day 7: Belgrade, Serbia

Drive from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Belgrade, Serbia. Explore its rich history and culture, visit the Kalemegdan Fortress, the Belgrade Cathedral, and the Nikola Tesla Museum. Take a stroll along the vibrant Skadarlija street and enjoy traditional Serbian cuisine, music, and dance in one of its many restaurants and cafes. Accommodation in Belgrade

 

Day 8: Iron Gates Romania

Drive from Belgrade to the Romanian Iron Gates, the place where the mighty Danube river enters Romania! Boat tour on the Danube river in the amazing Canyon where you will get to see the famous Decebal Face carved in stone!

Arrival in Targu Jiu and see the impressive modern Brancusi sculptures in the local park

Day 9: Castles of Romania

Drive towards the famous Castles of Romania! Visit the Dracula Castle, the misterious castle in Mountains where it is said Lord Dracula himself once lived.

Then head towards the beautiful Peles Castel in Sinaia, the heart of the romanian Royalty and the most beautiful castle in the country.
