Christmas Markets in Romania Did you know that in Romania has some of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Europe? 🙂 I love the Christmas mood: bells ringing, sweet cinnamon-flavored gingerbread and boiled wine for frozen fingers. This is what Christmas markets mean for me. Oh, and of course Presents! :D As you probably already know, I love to travel and you surely do too, not for nothing, you have come to our corner with joy. For the Winter Holidays there are a lot of beautiful Christmas Markets in Romania mainly in the big cities: Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Brasov, Sibiu, Targu Neamt, Iasi and so on... But I decided to talk about my favorite Christmas Market of all: the one in Sibiu city in Transylvania!   Sibiu Christmas Market I am in the Great Square in Sibiu, at the heart of the Christmas Market. Dozens of wooden houses surround you with mulled wine with cinnamon, baked chestnuts, sweet gingerbread, baked apples with honey and traditional dishes. So many people are coming to these culinary delights, buying personalized gifts, taking pictures of Santa Claus. The historical center of Sibiu becomes the top attraction during the winter holidays. In the heart of heritage buildings there is a fair that attracts many tourists every year. This is the Christmas Market in the Large Square, which runs from mid-November to early January. The Christmas Decorations can always bring the charm of the winter holidays to the Great Square in Sibiu. Take a stroll through the historical city center and admire the beauty of the historical buildings, visit the lively markets and elegant garlands. Stroll along Cetatii Street, the most beautiful street in Sibiu, open the doors of the restaurants and cozy cafes with themed menus and cultural evenings. Have a mulled wine with cinnamon

Bucharest Old Town: A day in the city! What would you do if you had a full day just for yourself to walk through Bucharest Old Town? What route would you choose? Probably one long enough as a distance, including a number of parks in several areas of the capital. Would you pick more or less tourist attractions? but to satisfy your appetite, to view, to admired and dream with open eyes... Well, we suggest  this time, that you spend one day in the historical center of Bucharest. The perimeter  is not very big, but it awaits you with plenty of interesting places and stories. If you have time to listen to them that is... Here's what you can do in Bucharest if you want to spend a day in the historic center:   First stop: Manuc's Inn Beyond the internationally renowned café where you've stopped, you probably have a go-to-go coffee to meet Manuc's Inn. This was the meeting place of the old-timers, poets, and politicians of the beginning of the 19th century. After more than two centuries, the inn has changed, but still retains something of the atmosphere that has consecrated it. The architecture of the place is marked by arches and wooden towers, and wrought iron ornaments.  You will love the traditional dishes and the wines preserved in the cellar. In the past, Manuc's Inn had 15 cellars, 23 rooms on the ground floor and more than 100 upstairs.   Old Court - The Voivodal Palace Leave behind the stories of travelers at the inn and go to the Old Court. Biking in Transylvania - Viscri, Buneşti, Meşendorf The first part of the Transylvania Bike Trails Network (TBTN) is managed by the ADEPT Foundation. It  has been recently inaugurated allowing amazing experiences during a Biking in Transylvania tour. The villages of Viscri, Buneşti and Meşendorf, plus Cristan, are the first to be joined by a series of routes that currently amount to over 40 km. We came here as a group of friends so we did a slightly shorter route. This includes not only the paths built by ADEPT, but also the forest roads connecting the villages between them. So we had a 32km distance of Biking in Transylvania, that gave us a 671 m difference in Google Earth. The route is in very good condition. It can be traveled by any cyclist or cyclist regardless of physical condition. There are a few more steep portions, but they are short. There, if necessary, you can push the bike over a few meters. In addition, the route can be practiced regardless of weather as it is grazed over its entire distance. So even if it rains the worst thing that can happen to us is to sprinkle with water and gravel, not with mud. The route is rather short and with a good rolling surface, its duration will not be long. We did it in about 5-6 hours. We also had time to visit the fortified monasteries of Viscri, Buneşti and Meşendorf. The Start The start can be from several places, but we chose to start our Biking in Transylvan tour from Viscri village and we almost immediately entered the asphalt on DJ 104K. The area is quiet and with very little traffic, so we will have enough time to warm it up. In about 7,5 km we reach the village of Buneşti
