Our Authentic Romania Tour gathers together all of the most impressive and attractive sights in Romania on a 10 Days Round Tour. You will see the mysterious Transylvania with its old saxon cities and fortresses, the beautiful Maramures, with its vast natural landscapes, the Castles in the Carpathians and much more.

Day 1. Bucharest – Brasov
Today we will head towards Prahova Valley and stop in the city of Sinaia. a place the royal family loved so much, they settled their summer residence here. Peles Castle is probably the most beautiful castle in the entire country. We will visit here the castle and the Sinaia Monastery, also named the Carpathian Cathedral.
Next we will arrive in Bran city and visit here the famous Dracula Castle. Numerous souvenirs shops surround the castle and also shops with local products. A well-deserved lunch break will be held here.
Next we will visit the saxon city Brasov, only 30 minutes away. This is the perfect example of saxon medieval settlement in Transylvania and it is one of the 7 famous saxon cities that gave the name of this region. We will see here the old town, the defensive fortifications and the heart of the city, the Black Church.

Day 2. Brasov– Suceava
Today we will enter the historical region of Moldova, distinctive for the people’s strong beliefs and for its unique architecture.
Bicaz Canyon is a passageway through the mountains between Transylvania and Moldova regions, and it is also one of the most impressive landscapes in Romania. We will stop here by the famous Red Lake.
Our first stop in the region of Moldova will be in the country of Neamt, where we will visit 2 beautiful monasteries: Neamt and Agapia, with an unique mixture between gothic architectural style and byzantine paintings.
We will end the day in the northern extreme of this region, in the former Moldovian capital Suceava city.
Day 3. Bucovina Monasteries – Maramures
Today will be dedicated to the religious culture in Bucovina, the northern Moldovian region.
We will discover here the famous painted monasteries and learn about their unique architecture and intriguing history. The local nuns will be the ones to guide us through the monasteries!
We will visit: Dragomirna, Sucevita and Moldovita monasteries.
While we are here we will also visit Marginea Ceramic Pottery, where the black ceramic is made by traditional centuries-old methods.
Optionally we can organize a traditional lunch at the locals.
In the afternoon we will cross the Carpathians once again and enter the region of Maramures, known for its wooden architecture and for its well-preserved traditions.
Overnight in Borsa / Viseul de Sus region.
Day 4. Maramures: steam train and wooden churches
The first part of this day is reserved for the steam train ride, an authentic experience one can only find here, in this long-time isolated region, so well guarded by the mountains and woods.
After the steam train tour we will visit a beautiful wooden church in the area: Bogdan Voda which is not only an historical asset but also a sample of original architecture in a marvelous landscape.

Day 5. Marmatia – Bistrita
The most important sights in Maramures are to be visited today: the famous Merry Cemetery in Sapanta Village, unique for its colorful tombstones and amusing poems written on the stones about the lives of the people buried there. Right next to cemetery lies the world’s tallest wooden church, the Sapanta Church.
Today we will also see beautiful Barsana Monastery, one of the most impressive in all of Maramures!
On our way towards the heart of Transylvania we will stop in the city of Bistrita, a beautiful town hosting the tallest Evanghelic Church in Transylvania.

Day 6.Bistrita – Alba Iulia
In the morning we will head towards the city of Targu Mures, a place where the influences of secession style can still be seen in buildings as the Culture Palace.
Next we will visit the medieval town of Sighisoara, the last citadel in Romania still to be inhabited, a fairy-tale place with wonderful architecture and filled with legends. Free time to explore Sighisoara.
In the evening we will arrive in Alba Iulia for accommodation.
Day 7. Alba Iulia – Sibiu
In the morning we will visit the breath-taking Alba Iulia Citadel, a city and stronghold built in a unique star-form. Alba Iulia is the historical place where all romanian regions where united in the beginnings of the last century.
After lunch we will have the chance to learn about one of the most beautiful castles in Romania, the Hunyad Castle in Hunedoara, a gothic construction with a impressive history.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Sibiu, a beautiful city designated European Capital of Culture in 2007.
After a short rest in our central-located hotel, we will proceed on a journey through the old town and discover Romania’s biggest city square, the various architecture styles, orthodox and evangelic churches and old defensive walls and towers.

Day 8. Sibiu – Arges – Bucharest
Today is the last day of our Authentic Romania Tour and we want to make the best of it!
After breakfast we will set foot on Olt Valley, a marvelous place with most impressive landscape. We will enjoy a stop here by Cozia Monastery, a beautiful sample of authentic religious architecture in our country.
Once we enter Arges Country, on the other side of the mountains, we will pause again to discover a splendid work of art representative for this region: Curtea de Arges Monastery, maybe the most beautiful in our country, with a unique mix of architecture styles and of great historical value.
We will end the day in Bucharest.
Day 9. Bucharest Tour
Today we will enjoy a guided tour of the romanain capital and biggest city Bucharest. We will see here the Revolution Square, walk arround the Old Town, see the imposing Parliament Palace and the authentic Village Museum.
After this, we will drive you to the airport and say goodbye at the end of a great trip together!

- Seats in the bus are distributed starting with the SECOND seat in the order of payment of the advance.

- The objectives mentioned in the program can be replaced by others, this not being dependent on the agency or the tourists, but only on the condition of the roads, weather conditions, or other objective reasons
- The guide can change the order of visiting the tourist attractions without affecting the structure of the program.
- If the minimum number of participants is not met, the agency has the right to cancel the trip or request an additional cost from the tourists for organizing the trip with a smaller number of participants
- If you can no longer participate in the excursion, for various legitimate reasons, the amounts paid are NOT REFUNDED, ONLY ALLOCATED TO OTHER EXCURSIONS OR a substitute is accepted (with 10 calendar days before departure).
The agency can modify / change the structure of the circuit / the type of vehicle used / the tourist attractions without affecting the running of the program and without notifying the tourist in advance; - The rates at the tourist attractions may change depending on the tourist season, the entrance tickets are paid on the spot. In order to benefit from a reduced price in the case of pensioners, the discount is made only with the presentation of the pension coupon.
- In the context of the pandemic, if the local authorities decide to cancel or modify the program / tourist attractions in the visited cities, the tour package of the travel agency will still be carried out, with the visits mentioned in the program, but without the objectives that are cancelled;
- In the context of the pandemic, if travel conditions change and the country of destination imposes the obligation to carry out RT PCR / Antigen tests for viruses (SARS COV 2, or any other type of virus) or the obligation to present proof of vaccination, the latter they fall under the responsibility of the tourist and do not oblige the travel agency to any compensation or free cancellation of the reservation;
- This program is an integral part of the signed tourist services contract.
- The trip must be paid in full before departure.
